Aisha Rafi ,Vivek Kumar Sharma Department of mathematics, Jagan-Nath University, Jaipur, India. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract A study of the free convective flow of a viscous fluid past a hot vertical porous plate is done with the assumption that the suction velocity is constant and normal to the plate and the plate temperature is span-wise co-sinusoidal. Approximate solutions of the equations of motion and energy have been obtained by the method of Regular Perturbation along with Homotopy Perturbation method. The effects of the different flow parameters affecting the mean velocity, temperature, skin-friction and rate of heat transfer have been presented through the graphs and tables. _________________________________________________________________________________________
